Day 46 August 20 Ft. Nelson, BC 2 Rotary RV Campground, Lake Charlie, BC

Yet another rainy day.   We feel like we have had clouds following us.   I'm sure that we keep driving into the same storms we had during the evenings.  The landscape really changed during this stretch of the trip.   We went from beautiful mountains, huge rivers, emerald lakes, and meadows to flat country with lots of gravel pits, oil and gas exploration fields, and TRUCK traffic....large TRUCKS.   They left me with a chipped windshield as a souvenir.   One bright place in this was Sasquatch Lodge with, you can guess by now, a bakery.   Not only  a bakery, but the best cinnamon rolls we've had so far.

I always like new things, and these bike lockers in Ft. St. John's Sports arena were different than any we had seen before.

This is a picture of the lake outside our RV Park in Lake Charlie.   This lake was famous as a staging area for the build of the ALCAN highway.  A monument was on its shore to those who had lost their lives ferrying equipment across the lake.
