We left Capulin after a climb into the depths of the Volcano. This picture is a little like Where's Waldo. Karen and I were both wondering what it must have been like 60,000 years ago when this thing popped up!
We then had a long day to Horsetooth Reservoir where we camped in the South Bay Campground. Of course we had no idea what the cap sites would be like, so when we checked in the woman mused that it would probably be ok and not under water. It turns out they have had lots of rain the the lake was very high.
Here is a picture from across the lake of our camper. The lake would normally have been several feet lower and there would have been a lot more land between the sites and the water. But as you can see all was good.
The only problem we had while camping here was the lack of good WI-FI. This may increasingly be a problem in keeping up with this blog. We certainly did not expect it to be a problem in Ft. Collins.
