We arrived at Lake Louise about the same time as the
rain.
The Lake Louise Hotel is the main viewing area for the
lake. We were there with a few thousand
others.
After some pushing and shoving, we were able to get close to
have a picture taken.
The views on the hike around the lake were stunning. The water is a milky aquamarine and glaciers
are visible at the top of the mountains.
Because of the persistent rain, we decided to eat out. Just by luck we found The Station
Restaurant. It is located in an old
train station with beautiful wood, creaky floors, and relics of the fine
dinning from the old Canadian Pacific Railroad.
While we ate a freight train pulled in!
This was the best dinner yet.
Birthday girl, Debbie, enjoyed a special piece of chocolate
cherry cake.
